Current Lab panel: Intro.

This is the exploratoryplayground ofPabloZarateWelcome to the Lab.

Stuff I decided to exist. No brief. No goal but to learn and experiment. A prototype of ideas, WebGL studies, design systems, games, and more — Driven by curiosity. Built at the intersection of technology and the liberal arts.

Synapsis

20263D graph / R3F

A navigable 3D constellation of the topics, links, and ideas I’ve saved across various platforms—to me, everything is interconnected. This is an experiment to demonstrate that.

Pintando una canción

2026Audio-reactive / PixiJS

A modern homage to Labuat’s award-winning Flash website from the early 2000s, titled “Pintando una canción.” This tribute utilizes contemporary web technologies, including Web Audio buffers, to analyze the song while a PixiJS ink engine creates a dynamic, cursor-controlled visual performance in real-time.

Hit_Try

2026Puzzle game

Simple premise: crack the next number, keep going. Hidden clues are waiting to be decoded. Each level gets harder. A love letter to the weird internet puzzles of the early 2000s.

Shader Experiment

2026Shader / WebGL

Interactive WebGL wordmark study exploring typography, shader motion, interface craft, and technology-led digital experience design.

RAMS Theme Preview

2026Design system

A non-traditional way to introduce RAMS, the Design System of PabloZarate™

Amélie

2004Site recreation / DHTML

My student project from 2004 — a fan site for the film Amélie — revived exactly as it was: two worlds to choose from, a draggable interaction puzzle, handwritten tooltips, and music per section. Rebuilt from the original files with AI-upscaled assets, and staged on the screen of the iMac G4 era it belongs to.
